Since leaving the Women's Tennis Association circuit because of a back injury, the Russian pin-up has lost the voluptuous figure which once graced magazine covers worldwide. The 25-year-old beauty says her loss of bulk is down to her lack of tennis and says she is not starving herself. She says, 'I'm naturally long, lean, and lanky. When I was playing tennis on the professional circuit, my body completely changed. 'For nearly 15 years, I spent six hours a day on the court. 'Now, almost three years have passed, and my body has changed again.'

The Russian-born stunner is thrilled with her new job, because it gives her a fresh incentive to find new work-outs to help her stay lean and trim. In her inaugural column, which appears in the June (05) issue of Elle, Kournikova admits she has struggled to stay in shape since announcing a hiatus from tennis to correct back and foot problems. She writes, 'As I've shifted from an intense training schedule to a more moderate pace... I'm suddenly facing the real issues of a nonprofessional athlete - which means worrying about how often I should hit the gym and what I need to incorporate into my diet and figuring out what fitness and food combination works best for me. 'Finally I can risk some new activities (such as rock climbing and Yogalates) without fearing that I'll get hurt and be sidelined, and report back on how rigorous and fun they really are. 'When I was playing competitively, I never really thought much about my body. As long as I could slam my serve at a WILLIAMS sister (VENUS or SERENA), I didn't worry about what I ate or if I needed to log StairMaster time because I wasn't exercising.'

Hundreds of male fans and admirers turned up at the event to catch a glimpse of the tennis star. Kournikova still represents Adidas even though she stopped playing competitive tennis two years ago. She will also do promotional work the sports giant at nationwide events along with boxer Laila Ali, the daughter of legendary boxer Muhammed Ali. As well as representing Adidas she has also modelled for in the Yohji Yamamoto Y-3 fashion show last year for adidas. She told Women’s Wear Daily that she loved the show :” It was my first fashion show and I loved it. I couldn’t believe how long it took to start and how short it was.” It looks like Kournikova is back in the spotlight : she is currently married to singer Enrique Inglesias after they met in his video.

The sports star was forced to show off her singing skills as a guest host on magazine show The View - in front of American Idol judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson and top voice expert Ron Anderson. Anderson, who has worked with Axl Rose and Shania Twain, gave Kournikova tips as she struggled with her scales. Giggling Anna wasn't impressed with her voice, stating, 'I sound like a screaming cat.'

William Lepeska, 40, will be treated at a restrictive mental facility in Florida for the next six months. Lepeska was arrested Jan. 30 after swimming nude 200 yards across Biscayne Bay in an attempt to reach tennis star Anna Kournikova's home on Sunset Island in Miami. Lepeska wound up on the pool deck of house three doors away from Kournikova's $5 million home on Miami Beach. Police said he yelled 'Anna! Save me!' as officers took him into custody. Miami Beach Detective Daniel Morgalo said Lepeska told officers he's is in love with Kournikova and is desperate to meet her. Lepeska even has an 'Anna' tattoo on his right bicep. At a previous hearing, Lepeska told reporters that he was in love with Spice Girl Melanie Brown for five years and repeatedly wrote her, 'but finally, I said, 'The heck with her, moving on to greener pastures.'' Circuit Judge Diane Ward said Wednesday, 'His (Lepeska's) illness is very legitimate,' Ward said. Lepeska, who has grown a beard while in custody, was removed from the courtroom Wednesday after repeatedly and loudly shuffling papers and speaking in a disjointed and fragmented way. Two psychiatrists and one psychologist who examined Lepeska in jail testified that he exhibited similar behavior then as well and that he is not taking any medication for mental illness. 'Everything is part of a conspiracy where he's been wronged,' said psychologist Jethro Toomer. 'He sees himself as a victim.' At a previous court hearing, Kournikova said she has hired bodyguards and added security to her home since the incident. She also said Lepeska has sent her sexually explicit e-mails and letters. Kournikova, 23, was not present at Wednesday's hearing. If he eventually does stand trial, Lepeska faces a possible sentence of 30 years in prison on charges of battery on police officers, resisting arrest and burglary.

Jennifer Garner comes second, Paris Hilton proudly takes the third place, Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron ranks fourth, and the top five is complete with catwoman Halle Berry. Britney Spears could not be found on FHM's list at all, probably for the first time in her career. The surprising regression apparently occurred because of Britney's marital status.
Kournikova, parents settle suit

Sergei and Alla Kournikova sued their daughter in Miami- Dade Circuit Court last year, saying they wanted money for their share of the house that they alleged Anna Kournikova took over. Anna Kournikova filed a countersuit shortly afterward, seeking to remove her parents' names from the deed. Each of the Kournikovas is still listed as an owner of the property, according to county records viewed Monday.
Singer Enrique Iglesias not marrying yet

'For now, I'm not getting married. I think I've been married three times already in the tabloids but it's all untrue,' said Iglesias, who has been in a serious relationship with Kournikova since February 2002. 'Anna is a great girl who puts up with me, and I'm not easy to put up with. But with my career right now, I'm not mature enough for marriage or to have a family.' For the record, Iglesias turns 30 on May 8.
